Valley Industrial Parks I - VI house 370 companies and 17,000 employees
and generate over $9.6 million in annual payroll and property taxes.
LVIP expects that there will be 20,000 employees throughout the
park system upon full build-out of Parks I - VI, which is projected
for the year 2010.

was the origin of Lehigh Valley Industrial Park, Inc. (LVIP)? |

In 1959,
when the Lehigh Valley was beholden to three major employers
of heavy industry, LVIP was founded by the Bethlehem Area
Chamber of Commerce to increase the regional tax base, create
jobs, and diversify the local economy. The access to major
roadways and interstate systems along with close proximities
to Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York City were factors
in the success of LVIP.

signed an exclusive letter-of-negotiation with Bethlehem Steel
for a 180-day due diligence on its Saucon and Iron Hill sites.
